Description

Photographs depict aircraft at Boston Airport during the 1930s-40s. Donor provided annotations to many of these. Also memorabilia and pamphlets on aerial photography, New England airlines and air meets. Includes airline schedules. Airlines shown here include Nantucket Vineyard Airways, Shobe Airlines, Mayflower Airlines, New England Central Airways and Northeast Airlines. Photographs taken by Thomas Francis Hartley, whose firm Hartley and Arnold maintained offices at Boston Airport in the 1930s and 1940s.
