Description

Album of photographs of two Boston residences where Henry F. and Susan T. Bigelow lived. The photographs were taken circa 1915-1916 by Thomas Ellison of Detroit, Michigan.

The first residence is 142 Chestnut Street, Boston. There are two exterior photographs and 27 interiors, including the courtyard. The second residence is 409 Beacon Street, Boston. There is one exterior photograph and 11 interior photographs. The Bigelows lived in 409 Beacon Street from 1913-1915 and in 142 Chestnut Street from 1916-1929. Henry F. Bigelow was an architect with Bigelow & Wadsworth (later Bigelow, Wadsworth, Hubbard & Smith).
