Description

This portfolio consists of twenty-one black and white photographs which document an unidentified Mansard style house, probably located in Worcester, Mass. at the turn of the nineteenth century. The photographs were taken by C. L. Blair, 44 Front Street, Worcester, Mass. The collection includes exterior and interior views of the house, including images of parlors, a dining room, and bedrooms. The interior images show details of furnishings and decor (see images 5 and 9 through 21 for wallpaper). Of particular note is the dining room with a wildlife theme, including a bear skin rug, a stuffed owl, and a bee nest hanging from ceiling.
