Description

Gloucester, Massachusetts: Beauport, the Sleeper-McCann House. Over 100 5x7, 8x10 photographs presumably by Samuel Chamberlain documenting interiors and exterior of Beauport. (Note: Based on interior evidence, Richard Nylander feels that these photos cannot be by Chamberlain because they show Sleeper's Chinese room and a single bed in the Red Room.) Also includes a pamphlet relating to Our Lady of Good Voyage Church and memorabilia relating to the blessing of the fleet by Archbishop Richard Cushing and photographs of same with local clergy. See #165 to which this is evidently a companion.
