Celebrate your special occasion amid the rolling fields and beautiful views of Cogswell’s Grant. As one of the few protected stretches of open land along the Essex River, it provides an important and diverse habitat for local and migrating wildlife. Today the landscape at Cogswell’s Grant offers access to pristine marshland, rolling hayfields, and beautiful views of the river stretching to the sea.

Cogswell’s Grant can accommodate ceremonies and receptions for up to 120 guests.

Rental Fee: $1,800

Your rental fee supports Historic New England’s mission to preserve and share New England heritage. To express our thanks for your support, we offer you a complimentary one-year membership. Membership benefits include free admission to Historic New England sites, discounts on merchandise and events, and a subscription to Historic New England magazine.
