Description

Photo album titled: "Side and Arm Chairs 50." Title is hand printed on a round paper label affixed to spine; volume number is also printed on a paper label affixed to spine. Album has a heavy textured dark brown covering and is held together with two metal brads. Album has 116 olive green pages; sixteen of the pages are blank. Album contains one loose and 100 mounted black-and-white photographs. Photographs depict a variety of side and arm chairs manufactured by A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, and their successor, Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. The order number and year are often shown on a display in the photographs; model numbers are also present in some cases. The one loose photograph has the customer name "Riverside Church (New York, NY)" handwritten on the reverse. No other customer names are noted. Digital images of a selection of photographs from the album are attached to this record.
