Photo album titled: "Imported Chairs: Side Chairs, Colonial, Empire, Sheraton, Hepplewhite 3." Title is hand printed in black on front cover; title, subtitle and volume number are hand printed in black on spine. Album has a beige fabric covering and 82 dark gray pages, all of which are now loose. Fifteen of the pages are blank. Album contains 68 mounted black-and-white photographs. Photographs are of a variety of chairs manufactured by A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, and their successor, Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. The styles of the chairs (including both side and arm chairs) are described by the compiler of the album as including: Colonial, Empire, Sheraton and Hepplewhite. The order number and year are often shown on a display in the photographs; model numbers are also provided in some cases. Customer names are handwritten on some album pages. Named customers are: W. P. Draper (New York, NY); John Sprunt Hill (Durham, NC); Merchants National Bank; Mrs. W. H. Norris (Wellesley, MA); E. Parmalee Prentice (Williamstown, MA); Ritz-Carlton; Rorimer-Brooks Studios (Cleveland, OH); F. H. Stuart (Newton, MA); and the 107th Regiment Armory (New York, NY).
