Photo album titled: "Desks: Droplid Secretary 53B." Title, subtitle, and volume number are hand printed in black on spine. The hand printed word "French" is scratched through on spine. Album has a beige fabric covering and 68 dark gray pages, some of which are now loose. Twelve of the pages are blank. Album contains one loose and 57 mounted black-and-white photographs. Photographs are of a variety of drop lid secretaries and desks manufactured by A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, and their successor, Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. The order number and year are often shown on a display in the photographs; model numbers are also present in some cases. Customer names are handwritten on some album pages. Named customers include: Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corp. (Quincy, MA); E. K. Davis (Marstons Mills, MA): A. L. Loomis (Tuxedo Park, NY); and Florence Pooler (Stoneham, MA).
