Photo album titled "Hymn Boards 8" Title was hand printed on a round paper label affixed to spine; volume number was also printed on a paper label affixed to spine. Spine is now torn and both numbers are inside front cover. Album has a heavy textured dark brown covering and is held together with two metal brads. Album has 70 olive green pages; 35 of the pages are blank. Album contains 35 mounted black-and-white photographs. Photographs are of hymn boards and memorial plaques manufactured by A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, and their successor, Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. The order number and year are often shown on a display in the photographs; model numbers are provided in some cases. Church names noted on pages are St. Thomas Church (New York, NY) and Trinity Church. Three loose items were also found inside album: two printed catalog pages showing hymn board models 15684 and 15685 and one rough pencil sketch of hymn board model M7864 (CC010.002.090.001). Digital images of a selection of photographs from the album are attached to this record.
