Photo album titled: "Louis XVI Tables 42." Title is hand printed in black on front cover; title and volume number are hand printed in black on spine. Album has a beige fabric covering and 102 dark gray pages, one of which is now loose. Fifteen of the pages are blank. Album contains 68 mounted black-and-white photographs. Photographs are of a variety of tables inspired by the French Louis XVI style that were manufactured by A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, and their successor, Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. The order number and year are often shown on a display in the photographs; model numbers are also provided in some cases. Customer names are handwritten on some album pages. Named customers are: Chandler and Company; G. E. Heath; and Charles L. Pierson. Also included in the album are ten photographs of Louis XVI furniture from French museums and other sites that served as references. Digital images of a selection of photographs from the album are attached to this record.
