Photo album titled: "Arm Chairs 46." Title is hand printed on a round paper label affixed to spine; volume number is also printed on a paper label affixed to spine. Album has a heavy textured dark brown covering and is held together with two metal brads. Album has 92 olive green pages; fifteen of the pages are blank. Album contains one loose and 79 mounted black-and-white photographs. Photographs depict a variety of arm chairs manufactured by A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, and their successor, Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. Photographs of a small number of side chairs are also present.The order number and year are often shown on a display in the photographs; model numbers are also present in some cases. One customer name is handwritten on a page; other customers can be determined by crossreferncing journals and other albums in the collection. Known customers include: Mrs. J. L. Babbat, Jr. and F. W. Woolworth (Glen Cove, NY). Also included in the front of the album are several loose pages from "The American Architect" (date not known).
