Lists a wholesaler's payments to workers doing piecework in boot and shoe making, with females well represented. Some accounts list purchased supplies (307ff, 349). Almost completely reused for newspaper clippings (starting with the Civil War period) of Mary Jane Mansfield. Longhand copy of lengthy "Ballad of the White Hills" (Willey House, NH) by Dr. T.W. Parsons of Boston appears on end pages.
