Description

A comprehensive record concerning all aspects of shipping. Expenses related to equipping of ships (for a figure of 7316.19.5 pounds) are specified in yards of duck, barrels of tar, and skilled workmanship. Routine settlements with debtors range from 10 pounds to 1799 pounds paid for a wide variety of commodities (spices, turpentine, liquor, fabric) and services (cooperage, etc). Other lists are: imported quantities of hemp and dyes; various ships' cargo (pewter dishes, clothing, brass); and merchandise from warehouse. Un-idexed, with many prominent Boston names appearing.
