Manuscript account books kept from 1771 to 1807 by builder, furniture-maker, and agricultural worker Roger Orvis of Goshen and Norfolk, Litchfield County, CT, to record his work framing buildings, performing specified agricultural work, and making bedsteads and sleighs, for named Litchfield County residents for recorded fees, and the balancing of their accounts with specified credits. Together with a concluding section of Orvis family weaving pattern diagrams, textile dye recipes, and weaving accounts, 1809 to 1814, some dated at "Farisburgh" i.e. Ferrisburg, Addison County, Vermont.
