Historical/Biographical Note

Historical/Biographical Note

In 1902, Carl Albin Jacobson emigrated from Sweden to the United States. Mr. Jacobson kept a travel journal that highlighted his voyage and the emotional experience associated with leaving his homeland in Sweden, at Norberg, Vastmanland train station, to arriving at Ellis Island Immigration Station and settling in the United States. The journal was the premise for his manuscript "Trip to America".
