Lindbergh

Description

This subseries contains glass plate and acetate or nitrate negatives of Charles Lindbergh on a trans-continental tour after his flight from New York to Paris, France in May of 1927. During the summer of 1927, Lindbergh visited Concord, New Hampshire, aviators in Boston, Massachusetts, and politicians in Paris, France. Many of the negatives from Concord, New Hampshire were a part of the article, “The Day Lindbergh Was Lost,” from the files of A H Blackington, which was published in Yankee Magazine in 1967. Also included are several portrait photographs of Lindbergh and the plan, Spirit of St. Louis. Some of the negatives are only labeled with a Historic New England identifying number.
