This subseries includes glass plate and acetate or nitrate negatives on floods throughout New England. The negatives of the Vermont flood of 1927 feature images of damage in Waterbury, animals under distress, damage in St. Johnsbury, Barre, and White River Junction. In addition, the negatives depict the flood of 1933, when the Merrimac River flooded. The negatives show damage in Methuen and Haverhill, Massachusetts. Lastly, the glass negatives show the floods of 1936, in which the Connecticut River flooded and damaged much of the surrounding area. The images are of Holyoke, Northampton, Methuen, Northfield, Waltham Massachusetts, Plymouth and Manchester New Hampshire as well as scenes in Maine and the Blackstone Valley.
