This series almost entirely consists of bon-ton tintypes with little to no paint. There are studio portraits of couples or small groups with props and painted backdrops of beach or rural scenes. Many portrait subjects wear period-specific fashions or accessories and some are dressed for the outdoors. There are a few tintypes that capture particularly casual poses, including two women holding an empty frame over a man's face (PC068-247), men at a table with a bottle between them (PC068-249) and three tintypes of dogs, both with and without people (PC068-218, PC068-222, PC068-233). There are at least two images taken outdoors (PC068-221, PC068-281). A few subjects and photographers are identified (PC068-213, PC068-234, PC068-235).
