Scrapbook contains an extensive collection of newspaper clippings about Moses Kimball dating from 1852 to 1869, taken from such publications as The Boston Journal, The Evening Transcript, the Hingham Journal, Boston Times, and The Republican (Springfield). All clippings refer to Moses Kimball (1809-1895) who was a newspaperman, speech maker, founder and manager of the Boston Museum, state Representative, state Senator, Whig politician, philanthropist with a lifetime involvement in Boston's civic life, mayoral candidate, advocate for temperance, and friend of and collaborator with P.T. Barnum.
