Furnishing Life at Home
Historic New England’s large and diverse collection of textiles represents more than three centuries of furnishing life at home.
The collection spans covers and trimmings for windows, furniture, walls, and floors; from plain linen bed sheets to elaborate Victorian curtains, embroidered pictures by schoolgirls in the 1830s, and throw pillows from the 1960s.
