Series III: Ephemera contains ephemera related to the life and activities of Elizabeth "Elise" (Tyson) Vaughan (1871-1949). The items in this series mainly date to the early decades of the 20th century. They include stationery and related materials (#3.10, 3.14, 5.1, 5.5), greeting cards, notes and writings, billheads, stamps, and newspaper clippings. Items that reflect Elise’s hobbies and interests include assorted booklets and pamphlets (#3.15), metal plant identification tags (#3.20), dried plants (#5.2), a bridge scorekeeping pad (#3.16), and a large number of her membership cards to assorted clubs, museums, associations, and other institutions (#3.19). Also of interest is a pair of glasses made for observing the solar eclipse that was visible in North America on August 31st, 1932. The folders in this series are arranged alphabetically by topic.
