Description

This cabinet card photograph shows a group of 6 Black people dressed for a wedding. They stand in front of a painted studio scenic backgound. A bride and groom sit at the front of the group. The groom is dressed in formal black tuxedo and white tie with a flower in his lapel. The bride wears a long white dress and white veil. She carries a large bouquet of flowers. Behind the bride stands an older couple, possibly parents of the bride or groom. Another couple, dressed in similar formal dress as the bride and groom, stand behind the groom.
The cardboard frame bears an embossed stamp that reads "Thomas Studio / 117 Camden St. / Boston."

The sitters are unidentified. The photograph is hand dated "Dec. 1st 1946" on the back of the cardboard frame.
