Black-and-white photograph of a bookcase. Chippendale bombé bookcase-on-chest has upper cabinet with two narrow recessed sections flanking a larger center section; Top of chest has fretwork; finials at each end; and center finial between c-shaped scrolls. Upper case has muntins forming arches on the the central door and geometric motifs on the side doors. Upper case sits on a molded rim above a lower bombé chest. Bombé chest has two central drawers flanked by a door on each side.Side doors have rocaille carving forming a rectangle. Lower chest has a straight skirt with gadrooning and a carved center drop scroll. Two acanthus-scroll feet are shown. Handwritten notes on page include wood type and A. H. Davenport Co. detail number 4229. The number 54354 is also present and may be an order number.
