Description

Design drawing titled "English Oak Table for Directors Rm" rendered in pencil on trace. Front and side views are shown; top plan of table is also provided. Long rectangular table has overhanging top with molded edge; shallow plain apron; six legs with carved scrolled tops, acanthus leaves and large paw feet; shield with carved caduceus suspended from underside of table between each set of two legs and joined to top scrolls on legs by carved fruit and foliage garlands; and each pair of legs resting on rectangular base with molded top edge and shaped lower edge. Title, design notes, "B. & O. R. R. July 10, 1906" and "7847 / 48951" are handwritten on drawing.
