Description

Album of design drawings produced by A. H. Davenport Co. titled: "Large Tables." The title is printed on the spine in gold on a red leather label. The company name is printed in black on the front cover; the volume number "3" is also printed in black on the spine. Album has a beige fabric covering and 204 pages, many of which have been cut from binding. There are 28 pages which have 55 pencil or ink drawings on trace affixed with glue; one page contains a table of contents. Pages 85 through 88, 95 and 96 are missing. The remaining 169 pages are blank. Drawings depict a variety of large tables manufactured by the firm. Drawings often contain handwritten information including dimensions, wood type, model numbers, date, customer name and detailer initials. Named customers include: B. & O. Railroad (Baltimore, MD); F.
