Description

Album of design drawings produced by A. H. Davenport Co. titled: "Sideboards. Serving Tables." The title is printed on the spine in gold on a red leather label. The company name is printed in black on the front cover; the volume number "2" is also printed in black on the spine. Album has a beige fabric covering and 204 pages, many of which are now loose. There are 28 pages which have 72 pencil drawings on trace affixed with glue; four design drawings are loose and inserted between two pages of the album. The remaining 176 pages are blank. One drawing is rendered in watercolor. Drawings depict a variety of sideboards and serving tables manufactured by the firm. Drawings often contain handwritten information including dimensions, wood type, model numbers, date, customer name and detailer initials. Named customers include: M. W. Acheson; J. J.
