Description

Design drawing titled "Chest of Drawers of Manhogany and Inlay" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown; plan of top is also provided. Neoclassical-style bowfront bureau has overhanging top with inlaid banding on front edge; four drawers in a graduated arrangement; curved skirt with molded lower edge; inlaid banding on drawer fronts and skirt; and French feet. Queen Anne-style rectangular wall mirror has shaped scrolled crest with gilded Prince of Wales feather motif within center pierced circular medallion; conforming base and inlaid banding. Title, design notes, "J. M. Lasell" and "468" are handwritten on drawing.
