Earthenware plate with brown transfer-print pattern "American Marine." Border pattern of two alternating scenes of sailing and steam ships framed by rope. Central scene of three-masted, fully rigged schooner in choppy seas. Two small boats with passengers in foreground, lighthouse and other sailing ships in distance.
