Description

One of a pair of vases with deep orange enameled vignettes with gilt accents on white ground. White clay body with colorless glaze. Vasi or gallipot form with globular body and defined shoulders. Slightly tapered out at mouth. Vase decorated with gilt stylized floral devices and a feathered border at neck, with mid-eastern tri-lobed border devices at mouth. Four scenic reserves featuring young men in various activities (possibly scenes from Ginji?).
