Description

Rectangular strip of rag carpet with selvage sides; one hemmed and one raw end. Fine, but closely packed; two-ply polychromatic wool warp with dark and white wool rag weft producing uneven striped pattern. Wide center stripe of gold with bleached warp yarn "spots" flanked by narrower green stripes in turn, narrow band of pink, white and blue; in turn red and gold on selvages.
