Description

This file includes eleven folders, which contain 39 pamphlets. The pamphlets include an issue of Marquee from July 2, 1888; a publication titled "Boston, its finance, commerce & literature"; two copies of a publication titled "Germans in Boston"; "The Places of Worship of the Sandemanians in Boston"; brochures for a walking tours of the West End, Beacon Hill, Cambridge, and general Boston; a blank stock certificate for the Boston Marine Insurance Company; "Picturesque Boston's Southern Suburbs"; "Moody's Talks on Temperance"; two volumes of the Stranger's Guide to Boston; two volumes of the "Collections of the Bostonian Society"; "A Chronicle of Boston Jewry"; "On Common Ground: the Boston Jewish Experience"; a choir directory; an exhibition booklet from "Where's Boston" (a centennial exhibit); and pamphlets on a variety of subjects including historic homes and buildings, the history of Winter Street, Frazee organs, transportation, industrial archaeology, the history of black churches in Boston, the "Big Dig", the Boston Five Cents Savings Bank, the Freedom Trail, the Great Boston Fire of 1872; Christ Church, the harbor islands, Harvard University, and the battle of Bunker Hill. The file also includes a handwritten letter from 1874 to and from unidentified correspondents written on Wellington Bros. & Co. stationary.
