Series containing 136 black-and-white photographic prints taken between 2001 and 2013 by photographer Edwin Martin as part of a series titled North by Down East: People of Maine depicting unidentified individuals from various locations across the state of Maine at their jobs, at special events, and engaging in recreational activities, among other activities. Fourteen of these prints measure 8 x 10 inches and 122 measure 10 x 8 inches. Print numbers are handwritten on the recto of each photographic print by the photographer. Print numbers were subsequently handwritten on the verso of each print envelope by the processor. Each photographic print is embossed with a copyright notice.
