Description

The image shows Fisher Mansion with a wooden railing in the foreground along the sidewalk. Three children are standing near the fence, and one child is sitting on the sidewalk. The mansion is flanked by trees, and a large building with a tower, possibly a church, is visible in the background.

"Dr. Daniel Fisher was in the whale oil and candle business, Edgartown. Now (1931) the mansion stands, but the buildings on either side was removed, making large open grounds. (Information from Mr. Marshall Shepard)"
