Description

Subseries A, Correspondence received, 1880-1893, undated, contains correspondence received by Florida Gordon Casey. The vast majority of correspondence are dated following the death of Casey's husband General Silas Casey (1807-1882) and relate to her efforts to obtain a pension. Other topics include execution of her husband's will, sewing and clothing, and payment of rent among others. The series is arranged alphabetically by record type, and thereunder chronologically.
