This is a view of Boston and Back Bay when the railroad causeways had been established. The State House can be seen in the center of the image. The steeple to the right of the State House may be Park Street Church. Two laborers and a woman walk along the causeway bed. The Worcester Railroad train travels outbound on the left side of the image. The Providence Railroad travels inbound in the center of the image.
