Description

Design drawing titled "Mahogany Chest of Drawers" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown; plan of top is also provided. Narrow chest of drawers has slightly bowed front; ovolo corners; overhanging top; four small drawers with round pulls and four larger drawers with bail handles; reeded columnar stiles with carved vasiform turning at top; straight skirt; and short tapered round feet with casters. Rectangular mirror with arched crest is attached to top by two tapered columnar supports with turned finials and scolled brackets. Title, design notes, "Mr. Conant 28026" and "11879" are handwritten on drawing.
