This subseries documents Smith's work in Massachusetts, and it makes up the bulk of the collection. Smith's projects were located in Allston, Beverly Farms, Billerica, Boston, Brookline/Chestnut Hill, Cambridge, Concord, Lancaster, Lincoln, Newton/Waban, Marion, Swampscott, Wellesley, and Winchester. His projects included private residences, buildings for Harvard and Wellesley Colleges, civic buildings, commercial buildings, and churches. A great deal of the subseries documents the Church of the Epiphany in Winchester, Massachusetts. Each entry includes the firm for which Smith was working at the time of the project.
