The Historic New England Preservation Leadership Award honors an individual or institution whose indelible contribution to the preservation movement has had a transformational impact on the New England region. The awardee’s civic, educational, or professional leadership will exemplify the ways in which thoughtful preservation practice contributes to more livable, sustainable, and inclusive neighborhoods.
Criteria
- Nominations may be for individuals or institutions.
- Nomination should include a summary of the nominee’s professional or volunteer service and projects, or a description of a single sizable project, that advanced preservation practice in New England through its innovative approach to community-building.
- Supplementary materials that enhance understanding of the nominee’s work should be included in the nomination. Examples include:
- Articles and publications;
- Letters of support;
- Photographs, videos, or other documentation of completed work.
