Pamela Fiori is an editor, a writer, and an authority on luxury travel and lifestyle. From 1993 to 2010, she was editor-in-chief of Town & Country, the oldest continuously published general-interest magazine in America (established in 1846). Under her leadership, Town & Country expanded its coverage of fashion and style, beauty and health, wealth management, home design, the arts, and philanthropy as well as documenting the changing face of affluence in America. Prior to joining Town & Country, Fiori was at American Express Publishing Corporation where she was widely credited with the success of Travel & Leisure, which she edited for fourteen years. In 1989, she was named executive vice president and editorial director of all of the company’s publications (including Departures and Food & Wine). Before joining Travel & Leisure, Fiori was on the editorial staff of Holiday magazine between 1968 and 1971.
At both Town & Country and Travel & Leisure, Fiori wrote a monthly editor’s letters and as well as feature articles and profiles of prominent people such as Ralph Lauren, Robert Redford, Grace Kelly, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Giorgio Armani, Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn, Valentino, and Carolina Herrera. Fiori has written seven books, including A Table at Le Cirque (Rizzoli) and In the Spirit of Capri, In the Spirit of St. Barths, In the Spirit of Palm Beach, and In the Spirit of Monte Carlo, all published by Assouline. She also wrote Stolen Moments, the work of photographer Ronny Jaques, a contemporary of Richard Avedon and Lillian Bassman. Her most recent book is a history of Holiday magazine for Rizzoli.
Pamela Fiori has received many honors, among them the Chevalier de l’Ordre de Merite from the French Goernment; the Matrix Award for journalism; and the Audrey Hepburn Humanitarian Award from UNICEF. She is the co-founder of the annual UNICEF/Snowflake Ball and served on the board of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF for many years.
Internationally acclaimed designer Marc Rosen is known for his award-winning (seven FiFi awards, the Oscars of the fragrance industry) fragrance, cosmetic, and fashion packaging. A creative entrepreneur, he has developed several unique businesses in addition to Marc Rosen Associates, over the past decade; ACCESSmr, Pret-a-Porter, and MRA Studio. His foresight has established him as a leader in the fields of design, manufacturing, marketing, and public relations.
His vision has been inspired by working with famous beauty manufacturers and fashion names such as; Revlon, Estee Lauder, Nina Ricci, Perry Ellis, Oscar de la Renta, Avon, Halston, Chloe, Karl Lagerfeld, Fendi, Bath & Body Works, Victoria’s Secret, Ellen Tracy, and Burberrys. Just prior to establishing his own firm in 1989, Mr. Rosen was Vice President — Corporate Design and Communications for Elizabeth Arden Global for more than a decade. In that role he was responsible for all corporate design, packaging, in-store merchandising, and public relations.
Marc Rosen has been involved in three highly acclaimed museum exhibitions: In 1979 he created Cosmetic Packaging: A 20th Century Art Form at the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York City, and co-chaired the Fragrance Foundations Scents of Time exhibit (1986-87) that traveled nationwide. In September 2002 he created an exhibit entitled Glass Houses featuring his perfume bottle designs to celebrate the opening of Pratt Institute’s new graduate center in Manhattan. In 2017, he was invited to curate a retrospective of his own work at the Nassau County Museum of Art. His designs are represented in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and the Musee de La Mode, Paris.
The author of two books, Glamour Icons (ACC Publishing) and Rubbing Shoulders for Glitterati, Rosen also writes a monthly column, “On Design,” for the influential trade magazines, Beauty Packaging, Esprit in London, and Embalage Marca in Brazil. He is a Professor (Package Design Workshop) at Pratt Institute Graduate school, where in 1989 they presented him with the prestigious “Excellence by Design” award and established a scholarship in his name for young designers. The scholarship is supported by the cosmetic industry at a fundraiser held at New York’s University Club annually. The Marc Rosen Education Fund holds an annual symposium on design. He is Trustee Emeritus at Pratt.
Often quoted in the press (Smithsonian, Elle, Allure, WWD, The New York Times) as a cosmetic and fragrance authority, Rosen has contributed his time and talents to many charitable organizations, including; Lighthouse Guild, the March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, City of Hope, the Fragrance Foundation, and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where he received a BFA, and an MS and Honorary Doctorate degree from Pratt Institute. The Marc Rosen Education Fund supports the annual Design Symposium held at the Whitney Museum. In 2015 Pratt established the Marc Rosen Scholarship for Packaging by Design, which gives out two full tuition scholarships each year in his name.
Mr. Rosen lives and works in New York City with his wife, the actress Arlene Dahl.
