"Decorated Adam Table"

Description

Design drawing with two views titled "Decorated Adam Table" rendered in pencil and watercolor. Front and top views are shown. Round Classical Revival-style table has overhanging top with molded edge; straight apron; and tapered square legs terminating in cuffs and square feet. Top of table has eight burl veneer triangular panels forming a large circle and three veneer bands around perimeter. Remainder of table surfaces are covered with a variety of painted motifs including anthemions, cartouches, rosettes, garlands and bellflowers. Title, scale and "16521" are handwritten in pencil.

Reverse side of drawing has two barely visible pencil sketches. The lower sketch appears to be a tester bed; the top may depict part of a sofa or chair.
