Description

Empire-style toilet or dressing table has rectangular form with rounded front corners; narrow splashboard with carved scrolled ends and rectangular central plaque; overhanging top with molded edge; one tier with two drawers flanking a center panel with inlaid or carved fruit basket; round drawer pulls; large acorn-shaped drop pendants on front corners; large vasiform turned pedestal with carved acanthus leaves at bottom and stepped ringed base with egg-and-dart molding on lower edge; round pedestal base; and four scrolled legs with metal feet and casters. Round mirror frame has two curved supporting arms with feather-like carving attached to center to splashboard; eagle-head finials; and egg-and-dart molding at base.
