Learn using actual artifacts of the past
At Roseland Cottage or Your Site
Students learn to identify primary and secondary source material and practice using the resources to understand people and events of the past. Working in teams, they examine a packet of primary and secondary source materials relating to the Bowen family of Roseland Cottage; analyze the materials; and use historical thinking, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning skills to discover the identity of a Bowen family member and learn about aspects of his or her life.
Available year-round, Monday through Friday, for Grades 3 – 10. Program lasts one class period or up to one hour.
