Learn MoreThe program includes a pre-visit lesson in the classroom that introduces students to Jewett’s life and work. They will create a hand-bound journal to use for note-taking and sketching while on their field trip.
During their time at the Sarah Orne Jewett House Museum, students discover the objects and people who were most important to Jewett and how her life in South Berwick influenced her writing. They become artists, designing and creating a piece of art to bring home.
