Forty-five directors from the international community made the trip to Lincoln. They were hosted at an open house with opportunities for photography, a landscape and neighborhood walk, and behind-the-scenes tours. Natascha Drabbe, founding director of Iconic Houses Network, said the visit included “an excellent introduction by Gropius House Site Manager Wendy Hubbard. It was a wonderful conclusion of our exploration of Modernism on the East Coast!”
Approximately 135 enthusiastic house museum professionals, homeowners, and architecture lovers from eighteen countries attended the May conference, enjoying lectures and visits to exceptional twentieth-century homes in the New Canaan area, Cape Cod, and Boston.
The Iconic Houses Network is a group of Modern house museum curators dedicated to preserving significant houses and sharing knowledge and expertise.
Gropius House is open for tours Wednesdays through Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
