Apr 13, 2018

Team Leader for Preservation Services Carissa Demore is the recipient of a 2018 award from Preservation Massachusetts.

For thirty years, Preservation Massachusetts has presented the Paul and Niki Tsongas Awards to recognize and celebrate the efforts and accomplishments of individuals and organizations that make significant contributions to preserving the Commonwealth’s historic resources. This year the Tsongas Awards honors “The Next Generation,” celebrating those who are standing on the cusp of the next phase of preservation.

As a member of Historic New England’s senior management team, Demore oversees the organization’s preservation programs and services. She joined the staff in 2013 and has also worked as a Supervising Preservation Services Manager and Preservation Services Manager for Southern New England. Her other prior experience includes serving as Main Street Program Coordinator in Annapolis, Maryland, and work as a Cultural Resource Surveyor for the National Park Service.

Preservation Massachusetts presents the awards on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston. View a complete list of the 2018 award winners.
