An exterior view of the doorway to the C.W. Thompson & Co. music publishing business at 13 West Street in Boston, Massachusetts. Charles W. Thompson and Jonas Michael Miles formed and operated the Miles & Thompson firm to publish, import and deal in American and international sheet music at 13 West Street from July 1, 1889 to July 31, 1898, when Miles returned to practicing law. A sign promoting L. M. (Leander) Eldridge, piano tuner, hangs in the storefront window. Two pilasters with Ionic capitals flank the doorway.
