Neoclassical-style secretary bookcase has flat top; cornice with carved molding; recessed upper bookcase case with two side-hinged wood-framed glass doors; muntions forming lozenge shapes; and key escutcheon on right door; lower section with fall-front writing surface; two lopers; four drawers with two bail handles and oval plates each; molded bottom rim; and four tapered square legs. Secretary is shown with fall-front open. Interior has four drawers with small ball pulls and twelve open slots. Title is handwritten on drawing. Embossed on lower left corner is "Irving and Casson / A. H. Davenport / Boston - New York."
