Design drawing titled "Bureau of Mahogany" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown. Rectangular bureau or dresser has overhanging top; shallow backboard; four drawers with bail handles and key escutcheons; straight skirt with molded edges; square front stiles with bellflower spray and carved rosettes in corner blocks at base; and tapered carved square feet. Rectangular mirror has narrow frame and is attached to bureau by two square fluted columnar supports with urn finials. Title, design notes, "For / J. Stillman / N. Y. Order / No. 7865" and "11595" are handwritten on drawing.
