In Cherished Possessions 2003-2005: The Littles amassed an important collection of American and New England-made redwares, much of it displayed in their dining room at Cogswell's Grant. Most redware is the product of anonymous potters, so collectors especially prize documented examples. The selection seen here, purchased between 1944 and 1967, includes a signed bowl and a related mug by Jesse Hazen, a potter working in Orange, New Hampshire.
