Description

Blanket chest with hinged lid; thumb-nail molded edge. Single drawer with fancy cut-out skirt. Sides have half-circle cut-outs for feet. Black and salmon freehand decoration over dry red. Drop pull handles.

Handwritten label (by NFL) at right side: Purchased at/Oliver Williams/auction, July 26,/1966/New England chest/circa 1730.
